The wilson case holders for the wilson case trimmer are typically listed as two different case holders example: your - .308 case holder
Part number XXXX1 (For New cartridges)
and case holder XXXX2 (1x or more Fired cartridges).

    Hope that helps out.

Trimming the case two short ooch for lapua, this can happen.
Don't know the big diffs with the case holders that would make you trim the case short.
Just make sure you start out long and check measurements as you work in slowly not to have this happen is the best advise I can give you.

    Good luck

I really doubt its the case holder.

Even thou it SHOULD stay the same if you don't adjust the trimmer, I've seen it cut short before when the last batch was dead nuts on. Frankly I have NO idea why. So, that being the case I back it off just a hair for the first one and tweak it, and drive on from there.

I make sure I knock the case into the holder firmly too by tapping it on the arm of my office chair.
