308 Norma Mag

Hey Everyone,

I recently picked up a 308 Norma Mag. It has a 26" ER Shaw barrel on it with a 1/10 twist in a heavy sporter contour.

Looking for any load advice. I'm thinking of trying Bergers out with this, really haven't thought much yet about what weight bullet I'd like to try (168, 175, 185)??

Right now just looking for any input anyone might have to help me get started with this.

Howdy!

The Hodgdon website has a good up to date info for the .308 Norma Mag. It, however, is limited to Hodgdon Powders.

If you want, you can also use the .300/.338 Win wildcat (.338 necked down) data as this chambering has the same capacity as the .308 Norma Mag.

I have a friend that has a .308 Norma Mag and he loves it. It's a very capable cartridge.
