My 8 yr old son shot a blackbuck antelope at 175 yds and we recovered the bullet which was mushroomed all the way down and weighed 70grs. Velocity was 2775 fps 10 ft from the muzzle. The bullet was lodged in the skin. There was excellent blood trail even though we didnt have an exit wound. It ran 35 yds. Thought I would share this with you.

All the conditions were right. Wind in our face, the animal was the only one in the field etc. for him to have everything in his favor for the best outcome. He used stoney point tripod with extension arm.

I didn know that Bergers would mushroom down? I thought it just kinda exploded and fragmentet?

Btw great shot by your son.
