Ok so it's been a while since I posted. So bear with me. http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16033&stc=1&d=1356238726 So here's the rifle. Nothin fancy. Just a 23 inch barrel composite stock with a 4-16x50 vortex cheapy on it. http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16033&stc=1&d=1356239091 As you can see my groups leave much to be desired. Using Winchester brass cci large rifle mag primers and the 168 gr hornady a-max. I might also add that this is the third lot I've tested. Starting at 59grs and working my way up found right around 63grs was my sweet spot. And decided some new glass was in order. http://www.longrangehunting.com/forums/attachment.php?attachmentid=16033&stc=1&d=1356239483 Enter the new scope. Yes it's another vortex but the price tag was much higher. This vortex viper HS LR 4-16x44. And I must say is a nice addition to the rifle. Clarity is a wonderful thing! I found that this browning shoots exceptionally well for an off the shelf rifle with some home made ammo. Will post again after I work one up in the hornady 180 gr sst.
