300 WM to 338 Ultra Rebarrel

Question for those in the know:

Is it possable to use an existing Remington 700 BDL magnum action for this operation?

Will the bolt face need opened?

Will the factory box mag need replaced or just modified?

Or should I start from scratch and find a LH Remy Ultra action?

No the action you have is fine. All that would need to be done other than accurizing it would be open up the feed rails and i would recomend a wyatts box mag added to the list. It will allow you to seat the bullets out farther than the factory box mag will.

I went from 338 Win Mag to 338 Rum by swapping barrels only. Very inexpensive for a great leap in power.
