300 rum/200gr.smk

    hello
    im new with the 300rum and reloading. i shoot swift scirocco(180gr) with 7828 behind them. i just got into reloading and found some 200gr smk at the used gun store for 25 bucks. i need some ideas to try for them. i see some guys shoot them longrange and wanted to try them. thanks :cool:

    My load for the 200g SMK was 94g H-1000. Was very accurate all the way to 800 yards, and was doing 3200fps. This was out of my old Rem 700 LSS 300 RUM. Start a lil lower and work up to that and you should find something the rifle likes.

    The 200 gr SMK has been a "go to" bullet for many in the LR comp game. It just shoots in anything and is consistent as heck.

    I'm running the 210gr mk in my .300rum over 94gr of retumbo and a cci250 primer. 3140fps, es of 8. Half moa out to 600yards so far.
