The .300winnie,short neck and all is about as simple and good as it gets. Chris Matthews would be a good source to question as he uses one himself , and has lots of tricks /info to share re: them.In the days ahead I hope to pass on info gleaned from my exp. with my new .300 win mag from Chris.Many 1000 yd. matches have been won with the plain jane .300 winnie,you and I will not suffer any loss by using one.
