Anyone have an accuracy load for a 30-378 Weatherby with 165 grain Nosler bullets? I have a friend who purchased one and I would like a head start. Thanks.

Here is the last 30-378 load that I did. Not the same bullet but a good one.

    Wheatherby brass @ 2.902"
Nosler 180g E-Tip OAL of 3.813" ( measured to the tip)
    Federal large mag primer
    108g Retumbo
    3332fps MV

    Always work up.

retumbo will work, but 200gr. bullets would be far better in that cartridge. he probably dosent have enough barrel to use slower powder which would be better yet.

My go to load for the 30-378's I have owned is 98 gr of H-1000 and a 210 berger with a 215 Fed GM primer. Shoots very well and I have taken them to 1000 yards. This is no screamer load, but it is very accurate and productive. Plus your throat and brass will live with this load.

In my opinion a 165 in a 30-378 is not desireable for many reasons. I would rather shoot the 165's in a 300 win. But I don't, I shoot the 210's in my Wins too.:)

My 30-378 likes 120grs. of 50BMG behide 180gr Branes Triple Shock with a Federal215GM primer. It will shoot clover leafs all day long. Pretty good elk medicine also:D

I have a buddy who shoots 180 swift scirocco's and his gun loves them. Its not a stock gun it has a Hart barrel. I emailed him to get powder load. I am not sure what the twist is.

I have a 30-378 accumark that I have not shot yet, and I need to start working on loads for. I really want to shoot that 210 berger. Is that weight bullet a good fit for the 1-10 twist?

I am going to start with Broz's load as starting point.

Yes, my first 30-378 was a factory accumark with a 10 twist. The next one had a 30" HS preciaion barrel and it also was a 10 twist. Many people stoot the 210 Bergers from an 11 but I prefer the 10.

That load has worked well in many rifles and many of them accumarks. A little bedding of the front lug area and a barrel free float will help your rifle too. The load is plenty soft and velocity from a 26" barrel will be about 3050. Like I said, not a sreamer and there is room to hop it up, but my accuracy,ES and case life was so good I was not about to go for more velocity I didn't really need. Believe me that load has taken lots of game. Including the Elk below that is holding up my accumark..:)
