284 Win 168 VLD'S

Looking at my next build using a FN SPR action.

Deciding between the 260 Rem 1/8 twist or the 284 Win1/9 twist.
I love the 6.5x284 and have one, but barrel life on the hotrod
precludes me of wanting another.


What speeds could you expect using the 284 Win combo?

284 Win shooting 168 VLD in a 24" barrel?

Anybody using RL 17 in their 284 Win?

Hopefully someone here with first hand experience will respond.

please help i am building a 284 win with a 1/10 kreiger rimrock long action shooting 168 vlds what is the best oal for this project so i can get a reamer made specifically for this round thank you for any answers
