I have a 280AI built on a Sako 75 from a 270 winchester. It was done by Hart and has a 26" factory contour 1 in 8.5 twist barrel .313" neck I am with Tom H on powders and bullets. Have had the gun for a few years and have tried IMR 4350 IMR 4831 H 4831SC RL 19 RL 22 RL 25 and finally RL 17 My load is 56 agr RL17 with the 160 gr Accubond. IMO the Accubond is as accurate as the AMAX and is a hunting bullet. The RL17 gets you to the velocity you want long before you are at max and gives me very consistant velocities with low standard deviation and excellent accuracy One thing on the Sako 75 action that happened to me and may have to be addressed with yours. That is a 3 lug action and the lug that was lowest on ejection would hit the top edge of the shoulder/case body. It would still eject but would leave a mark on the cases and was irritating. Gunsmith beveled the edge of the lug and fixed problem
