I have a Ruger 270WSM and I bought a Leupold VXII and when I went to sight it in it shot to the left. I kept adjusting it and never could get it to move right so I returned it and bought a Nikon Buckmaster. It shot great for a little while and then I started having the same problem with it. I had to remove the scope and bore site it and then it worked for a while and now I am having the same problem. Any answers??

check your scope base for movement and rings

I have taken everything off and put it all back on and it keeps doing the same thing. Everything is almost brand new. I haven't really heard too many good things about the ruger base and rings though.

Russell, Now that is a hard one. First make sure your mounts are tight? what sort of rings and bases are you using? sound to me they are loose because the likely hood of having 2 scopes do the same thing is almost impossible, but I have seen stranger things. I always buy the best rings and bases, if they don't hold then all the scopes in the world will do the same thing. If it is the base and rings put blue locktite on the base screws, but not the rings. if you have a windage adjustment on the base that has to be tight as well or this could cause the problem you describe. I've had some really hard kickers on a ruger and have never had such a problem. Lou
