I have tried several of the new slow powders with 150 gr ballistic tips looking for velocity. I have a 10 twist barrel so I am limited with 150 gr bullets. I settled on the 140 Berger VLD hunting at just under .500 BC for long range hunting. This data is from a 28 inch factory barreled 1885 Winchester.
I would also try MagPro, which was just plain magic with 140 gr bullets, 74.0 (74.2 is listed as MAX by Western Powders) produced 3320 fps. H-1000 might be fast. So far 4000MR looks most promising.
