anybody built a 257x300? i tried searching but not coming up with anything which very well could be me not using the search correctly. i was just messing around with some spare brass and put one together just to look at.

No it is all gone. Had 100's close to 4000 fps. 115's at 3850 plus. Was a bit of a looker too.

Thanks, I started with a 5 panel LazerMark stock and had WestHunt install the #7 Weatherby inlays in 4 colors of exotic wood. Then he finished it off with a high luster and a custom floor plate with a silver inlayed deer.

My whole idea was to build a rifle for Midwest whitetail hunting. Walking draws and on the run shooting. I wanted a point blank rifle to 400 yards with no need to range it first. It worked, but the meat loss was pretty bad if you didn't get it in the ribs. I have since gotten over the hyper-velocity rifles with short barrel life that I was at one time all about.
