I asked the same questions in the main forum, maybe I should have asked it here. I have a .25-06 with a 12 twist 26" barrel. I'll be shooting at prairie dog up to about 600 yards with most shots probably between 150-300. My main concern is getting a bullet that will explode on impact, whether that with a p-dog or the dirt. I'll be shooting around livestock, houses and roads so I want to minimize the ricochet' as much as possible. I'd also like the highest BC I can get for the rare 600+ yard shot as well a bucking the wind. Are there any secrets I should know, or do I load up a 75g A-Max as hot as possible and call it good?
