I've got a Remington 700 25-06 long range. I found that Federal Premium Vital-Shok 117 Grain Sierra GameKing bullets works good. I'm wanting to reload this round and see if I can tweak it to be even better. Does anyone know what kind of powder they use? Also very open to any loads anyone on here has found for this gun. Thanks for your help!

You won't be able to copy the load Federal uses, the powder isn't available to handloaders, generally.
I have found H1000, Retumbo, RE22 and RE25 to be very good in the 25-06.
RE25 gives me the highest velocities and smallest groups with all bullet weight from 100gr-120gr, with the Nosler 110gr Accubond being the most accurate in my rifle.
If you want some loads, PM me, I don't post them on here.

Cheers.

I have had recent success with reloder 25 as well and the heavier bullets. It just might be the best combination yet for my .25 /06.

I have been shooting the 25-06 for around 30 years and two loads that have stood out as accurate in most rifles with the 117 gr Sierra Pro Hunter flat base bullet which in my experience is more accurate than the Game King boat tail bullet are these.
52 grs H4831 or the SC version fired with a CCI BR2 primer in a Rem or WW case.

49 grs IMR or AA 4350 fired by a CCI 250 Mag Primer in a Rem or WW case.

Both loads will run ball park 3000 fps depending on the rifle. Load the bullet 10 to 20 thousands off the lands. I have killed a few hundred deer with this bullet over the years and see no need to change to another bullet. My current rifle is a Rem 700 with a #6 Shilen SS 26" barrel and on a calm day it will shoot the 49 gr IMR or AA 4350 load into a 5 shot group at 300 yards average 1 1/2". Over the years about 95 % of the time it has been BANG FLOP on deer.

I've been shooting and reloading for the 25-06 since the mid-70's. Best powders in my 2 rifles have been H4350, I4831. Started with the 120 gr Speer and switched to the 117 SGK. RL 19 worked well but is temp sensitive and velocity wasn't too great (until shooting it with temps around 105 then velocity went WAY up and shots started looking like buck-shot patterns). Having decent luck with RL 26 but again, velocity is fairly low (2850). Still searching for the 'holy grail' with this bullet. I'll probably try some RL 22 or 25 this spring.

I tried 100v when I couldn't find H4350 and varget. In both cartridges it has become my powder of choice. Neither though are the 25.06 but I would bet it will do what you want. My 243 87 vmax load is now running 3380 instead of 3290 and it shoots 1/2 moa out to 660 if I call the wind properly. The 30.06 is running es under 15fps for 10 shots as is the 243 load. I never shoot beyond 300yds with the 06.

I run 58.5 grains of Retumbo with a 115 Berger . Gives me 3250 fps and .5 Moa out to 500 yards . I have also used 50 grains of IMR4350 . Had really good groups at 100 like in the .1s but the same load at 500 was not good at all . I'm wanting to try h-1000 I've heard it's a great powder for the 25-06
