Anyone have any data or experience with Retumbo and 100g pills??

I've used it with 115g VLD's at 58.5g and get 3250fps w/out any pressure signs and was hoping I could get 3400-3450fps w/100g pills.

Was thinking maybe 62-63g would be around max, so start about 59-60g??

I use 59.8 gr Retumbo in my 25-06. Barnes TSX @ 3370fps.That is my hunting load. Hope this helps.

I am working up loads right now. I have 100 gr BT and 110 gr Accubonds and planned on trying the Retumbo on the heavier 110 Accu and some 115 Bergers(when I can find some).

Please share your results as well as barrel length. I have a Tikka, so it only has a 22" barrel.

Finally got out to the range. I loaded up 3 test loads with 100g NBT/Retumbo, winchester case, winchester WLR primer, and seated to 3.250". I decided to start at 60.5g, then to 61.5g, and lastly 62.5g. I didn't even shoot the last 2 loads as the 1st load was shooting in the .3's and was moving 3480fps. No excessive pressure signs on the case as far as I can tell. Looks like I found a winner on the first try and to top it off, I was going into somewhat uncharted territory. I will stretch it out to 400 yards next time out and see how it holds up.

Rifle is a rem 700, 24" shilen, leupold 6-18x40 Target.

100g NBT
60.5g Retumbo
W-W/WLR
3.250"
3480fps
.311" 3 shots 100 yards

I see you have some math for your group, how do you figure up you groups?

25-06: Any new developments. How is the load preforming?

I'm going to be working up a load for a guys rifle using these components. Trying to find out any new info before I start.
