223 in Remington or Savage.

Best out of the box shooter and bang for the buck is a Savage. My 223's all come with 1 in 9 twist barrels. SO in addition to a faster twist 223, from time to time I pick up other 223's and re-chamber them. SUre is an inexpensive way to go.

Hi I wanted to use a Burger bullet and i believe they said the barrel show have a 1.11 twist . would this make the rifle faster at reaching it's target ? or give it more power ? if so could i order a Savage with this barrel

Read the article, shooting a 223 to a mile accurately by Jerry Teo, its an interesting read. I have a savage 110G 223 that has no custom work done to it. It shoots .5 MOA with black hills ammo. I have to stay light though due to the twist. I am planning a 7mm and a 223 build in the future, both for long range stuff.
