Size and trim the brass, and you will find the Lake City has higher water capacity than commercial. There is a nice table summarizing this on Accurate Shooters, and I have also measured very close to confirm those results for brass I load for 223. Makes a major difference for pressure.

Resurrection……7 years, what are your thoughts on range brass pickup? ….Sorting LC in a dish, & finding lots of PMC, & a fair amount of stamped PSD. Both seem to be Korean made brass, thinking about combining the latter two cases as will be fired on AR platform for decent plinking loads. Do you guys see any issues with my plan? LC gonna be saved for precision AR varmint loads
