22-250 reloading problems

My question is how using the same press and the same dies with a uniform stroke and pressure how can the shoulder lnngth be different? Also I use a lee hand trimmer, with a 22 cal pilot. But after necksizing, the pilot won't allow the trimmer to make contact with the case mouth. I tried a mechanical trimmer and the same thing happens. The pilot doesn;t seem to go far enough into the case mouth to let the trimer do any cutting This only happens on once or more fired cases .New cases load and fire fine. Also these loads are not max or even close altho that doesn't seem to make any differance</p><p> Has anyone ever encountered this problem? Myshooying freinds have never heard of it.
