Wanting to try the New Winchester Staball 6.5 Powder in my Fast Twist 22-250 with the 95gr SMK.
Anyone have thoughts on a good starting point. The highest published data I can find is for a 70gr Bullet. (Min 35.0) - (Max 38.6). Just looking for a little direction.

I don't believe this has the powder you're looking for, but could be used as a reference for powders with similar burn rates drop down a bit from those charge weights and work up slow from there as always.

Not really sure of the Comparable Burn Rate. I haven't found anything concrete yet. Some saying it's close to H4350 but faster than H4831, Also I read it's close to Superformance. I guess I will just have to do it from scratch.
Thanks for the replies.

Heres the list I have saved, although if your powder is NEW NEW it most likely will not be on the list, this was compiled in 2018, it wouldn't hurt to call into thr manufacturer and ask if they've done any testing or what is similar in burn rate/shape/characteristics to be on the safe side.

happy reloading!!

I run 83gr hammers up to 3400 with a 8twist tika with stabal 6.5 til I hit pressure, just to get a idea what I could get, they need a 6.5 twist to be stable but stabal 6.5 got me really good speeds with couple different 77-83gr bullets, should work great with 95s. was at 40grs with a 80smk, 3410 fps and 41gr behind the 83 hammer at 3415!

i didn't try it out in 22-250 as mines a slow twist. In my 7 twist 22 creedmoor it had serious pressure spikes at max charge depending on temperature. I loaded up to a sticky bolt then backed down till smoothe again. In the summer heat I was blowing out primers regularly with Berger 85.5. I just kinda shyd away from using it. Seemed to be very accurate powder for me tho. Good luck
