210 grain vld's and 308?

been loading some 210 bergers in savage long action 308 winchester. gun use to be a 06'. anyway i have the bergers at 2540 fps,i have been running numbers and this seems to be a very capable elk mule deer combo load. anybody have any experience with heavy bullets and the 308 for hunting? at 400 yards this load carries just over 2000 ft lbs# and velocity is just under 2000 fps.

Sounds like your good to go. I like hearing about heavy bullets getting shot out of the 308win. That load should hit hard!
