Hey ZR thanks for watching! I have Scarpa Kailash Trek GTX, they are good boots but I wouldn’t mind something a little stiffer for my next boot. I use a stone glacier 6900 and they are amazing packs. My friend was using a mystery ranch. Mystery ranch are nice but the SG Carrie’s weight much better. I would recommend Stone Glacier, Kifaru, or Initial Ascent for a pack. I use a Vortex razor HD spotter, Vortex LHT 4.5-22x50 scope, and vortex AB 5000HD rangefinding binos. I like my vortex optics and have put many animals on the ground using them. My friend didn’t end up tagging out, it was really hot out and we wanted to get the meat and hide out. We did see another 21 goats the next day and over 100 sheep but no billies he was interested in. He had a tag for late season so was looking for a giant if it was early season since the hide is much nicer in the later season. My biggest advice is to get a good pack and good boots and train your *** off. When you think you are physically ready step it up and do something that challenges you both physically and mentally. A heavy pack out can be as tough mentally as physically.
