Earlier this year I built a 338 Edge based largely on what I learned here, for an elk hunt this fall. This was a Remage build, all built myself. I had shot to 833 yards with groups 1.3-2.5 inches. Today I had the chance to shoot a match which stayed at 1000 yards and went back 1100, 1300, 1500, then every 100 to 2000. You had to score a minimum to move back and I made it to 2000, which was a minority of shooters. Learned a lot, what a blast. Shot very well to 1800, last two stations the wind got hard with no flags. I feel much more prepared going into my hunt with this extreme load validation at ranges beyond what I would entertain on game.
