178 grn. Amax at 3006 velocities

Has anyone tried these in a 3006 my local shop is out of my 200 smks but have a bunch of these. I was wondering if they would get me on steel at a 1000 and what powder are you using and are they seating depth sensitive?

I have never loaded them in a 06 but used them in a 300 win. I used the 180 grain load data of similar type bullets. They shot very well in a 24 inch 300 Win. I would suspect the same deal but just slower in the 06. probably around 2700 to 2750fps depending on barrel length and powder you are using. I would think you could get on steel at 1000 but the come up would be high. sounds like you already have a 200 grn serria load so this should shoot a little flatter. good luck.
