Giday all,

I am hooked on this .17 Mink/Squirrel.

All i know is its a .22 hornet necked down to .17.

Apparently Redding sell .17 Mink dies, RCBS sell Squirrel dies.

But i cant find any Redding Mink dies on there site.

What's the process to neck it down and the process to make a .17 Squirrel?
I've read a bit of info on Saubier.

Do i just need to get a rebarrel/new barrel in .17 or do i need a reamer too?

Thanks

Dan

If you already have a .22 Hornet, you will need a gunsmith to rebarrel your rifle with a .17 caliber barrel chambered in .17 Mink. You don't need a reamer, the gunsmith will need the reamer.

The chamber reamer is a metal cutting tool very pricesly ground to the shape of the chamber to be cut in the breech end of the barrel.
