Saw this on news and cannot imagine seeing this in a geographic location they cannot survive, Thank Goodness!!!! They are wiping out all sizes of animals in FL, we sure don't need them figuring out how to survive in north. Got too big as a pet for sure.

Can you imagine a CO getting a call to capture a snake without details?

A few years ago fishermen found a 16' snake in the river behind my house while fishing, in NE Ohio.

We had a 17 footer here in the woods South East of Grant's Pass. But some motorcycle riders found it on one of the logging roads and took care of it.

I took a 10' Boa Constrictor off a resident's lawn here on Long Island. It was obviously released by a pet owner in the area but no one would take claim to the snake. It was difficult for us to get rid of the snake once we had it. Originally, I thought the Bronx Zoo would be happy to have it for their reptile/snake exhibit. But ... they said the snake was too common and ate too much.

It's not terribly unusual for residents here to have exotic pets that are either prohibited or those that grow so large that the owners just can't handle them anymore. Out of desperation, they often release them into the wild.

If it was caught in the south it would be a menu item at the next cookout. We already have big *** rattle snakes. No need for them .
