Andy's tips - The Sitka Traverse Zip-t is probably my favorite all-around Sitka piece.  I typically wear it over a Core Crew (merino or nylon) and it is my main shirt. It insulates like a typical modern long-underwear layer but has a slighly smooth exterior giving it a little extra wind and moisture resistance and making it feel great as a mid layer. The zipper is great for regulating my temperature throughout the day and the thumb loops are nice when I want them, and I don't even notice they're there when I don't.
