What is the longest shot you have made on a live target

Unfortunately Germany has very little room for long distance shots and also they are frowned upon by the local "player haters" who do not possess the skill to shoot long distance. They don't even have long distance ranges where one can train on distance shooting. I was actually "chastized" for making an excellent 286 meter kill on a red fox (my furthest here)... with my Tikka T3 (.308) and Zeiss Duralyt glass (3-12 x 50). Fortunately as a retired DA Civilian I have the opportunity once a month to go to a US Army shooting range where I can train on targets set at 300 meters... I did and it paid off... period. Screw the haters... 🤷🏻‍♂️😂

400 yards on a running 5x5 Mule Deer with a 30-06 springfield military rifle with peep sights at the base of the skull when he turned and started running streight away from me it was the last shot in the magazine. The one in my photo to the left was a 300 yard shot as you can see another 5x5 Mule deer running broad side through the heart one shot. with a 100gr HP from my 264WM. Home on leave from the Navy after 2 tours of Viet Nam.

330y Whitetail buck with 280AI. Held for wind and drop. Heart lung shot. 175 Berger Elite Hunter. Deer just crumpled. Proved my theory that Berger's perform better at slower speeds. This personal best long shot should win me the shortest longest shot award on this thread.

So, it's not the longest shot I ever made but it's the one I'm most impressed with. It was with a Remington model 34 22 lr, open sights on a woodchuck 84 yards away leaning against the truck, one shot through the chest. Surprised myself.
