I am not in the game at this time, but have 2 friends that were, for a very short period of time. One got his back and suppressor in hand in 29 days from time of filing and the other was 31 days. On day 29 he emailed the ATF and the next day he was approved and picked up his suppressor the next day. Both were in Raleigh NC.

I have heard of this happening, however I don't think there is any kind of order the ATF goes in. Seems like they just do what they want to get done and that's it. No quotas and no accountability. I called prior to this about the 8 month mark and mine were still both just shown as submitted. I have been through several of the background checks for work over the years as well as have other NFA items like probably most of you. We are not unknowns to them. They can't get our approvals done timely but they can vetted people coming across the border from other countries that have no history and it is done rather quickly supposedly

Well it had to end sometime. It appears ATF eform is down for an unknown time. There's no explanation or than sitting budget and the impending government shut down.

You can't make this stuff up.

Individual form 4 through my local dealer

There definitely has been an uptick in approvals lately with some very short wait times.




My last one took 227 days.

They probably knew the shutdown was coming and started kicking a bunch out so no one complained
