I'm in the market for a custom rifle (Rbros, gunwerks, and such) in 7mm or 300WM but I have no experience reloading nor do I really have the time or desire to do so. I'm a novice to this long range hunting and this seems to me to be a VERY critical component to shoot and ethically hunt say out to 700yards. I see gunwerks offers custom loads specific to their guns. Are there others that offer this. I know most builders will send you the load info so I would not have to work that information up. Does anyone have a custom that shoots factory loads with the names above?

You're not alone. I have a close friend in the same boat as you. When he approached me about putting a rifle together for him, that was his first priority. We finally decided on .300wm. While he's more interested in shooting targets, he does on occasion shoot fuzzy stuff with it.

(Never mind the cheap rings, they were replaced with ARC M10s after they arrived).

He's been using FGMM, his last measured 100yd group was .196". Long range performance was great as well allowing him to make a first round hit on a 4" bullseye at just over 1100yds.

It's gonna cost you more but yes, it certainly can be done. You might check out Copper Creek Cartridge as well.

I have a Best of the West Signature Series 7mm. I shoot their ammo that works for my rifle, 180 grain Berger VLD bullets. I order my shells from them. My rifle is very consistent with their loads.

I have used ammunition from ABM in my custom built 300 Norma. Sub .5 groups every time I shoot the rifle. I have seen the 300WM ammunition work just as well in a friends rifle.

In the past 2 weeks, I contacted Josh at Copper Creek about some 6 creed hunting ammunition for upcoming Wyoming antelope tags. He sent me a box of 105 hunting VLD's to see how the rifle liked the ammunition. I had him send me a box of the hybrids for fun to see how they would group.

Both types of ammunition shooting the same sized sub .3 groups. No need for any custom work with this rifle. Called him up and he had me another 100 rounds of VLD's mailed out that day.

Late to this thread, but I'll pile on the praise for Josh. Ordered 50 rounds of the 130 JLK for my 6.5 Gap 4S and they worked great on deer at 200 and 520 yds. Copper Creek rocks!
