200gr ELD-X

I want to use the Nosler 190 LR bullets first. If I can't settle in on those then I'll try 200 gr Accubonds.

I set zero at 200 yds. using factory Remington Ultra Mag 180 siroccos. Too windy to use Chrono, but I was impressed with the factory loads since I got the following group. The .6 to the left was due to the wind averaging 7-10 from 2:30. I'll go shoot again soon when the wind is 3 mph or less and temp isn't a 100 degrees in North Texas to Chrono and verify accuracy. shooting a CA carbon 300 RUM. As usual, don't know why I would want to try to improve on that group other than these two facts. I love reloading and working a load to that sweet spot!!!. and...... I CAN'T FIND ANYMORE OF THAT REMINGTON PREMIER FACTORY 180 GRAIN SIROCCO AMMO!! at least not presently.

Sorry here is the zero.

Ended up at 76.9gr of H1000, CCI 250, Sig brass, and 2.75" on my comparitor, roughly 3.42"oal. That shot .2moa at 220yds out of my mostly stock Savage 110. 76gr shot into .5 so I have some room to play. Still need to get a velocity on it... And work on some of the reloder 26 I have.

Cool. I have some old h1000 but I'm going to try rel26 first. Would be nice to see how temp INsensitive it really is!! Especially compared to rel 25

Please keep the thread posted when you try that rel26.

Got back out to the range for a little while to play with some new toys. Nightforce SHV 4-14 went on the .300 Also picked up a magneto speed. **** that Nightforce tracks well! Took 10 rounds to the range with me as it was a short trip. Got on paper at 100m and somewhat dialed in along with getting speeds. 1st 5 shots averaged 2925fps SD of 8 ES of 18. Took the magneto speed off and was 6.5moa low and 2moa to the right, but shot the 3 round group measuring .318". Dialed to center everything up and sent one. Couldn't see where it hit for the life of me so I held low and left and sent another. When I retrieved my target I was pretty satisfied.

I just finished working up a load in my 300 Wby with 212 ELD-X. The more Retumbo I poured in the better they shot. Getting 1/2 to 3/4 MOA right at 3k fps. I'm excited to see how they perform on big game.
What powder charge are you using? I want to try it out of my Mark v

I had good luck with my friends Hells Canyon Long Range using the 212ELDX and Retumbo. My guess is it is getting around 3030fps. I seated the bullets .015 off the rifling. I should mention his rifle is chambered in 300WM. Not sure of how many grains I loaded at but Retumbo is really impressive I think. It also worked in my 270WSM with the 145 ELDX. First load Itried shot a sub half inch group.
