I have a 24" barrel on a savage 111 I'm going to start working up a couple loads for. I don't know what bullets you have data for, but I'd like to see it anyways. I'm mostly interested in developing a 120 grain TTSX load for deer and also a 150 grain load with either TTSX or Nosler E-tips. I'm on California so I have to hunt with all copper bullets

Not sure what to think...I've been shooting the 168 Classic Hunters with H1000 for a few months now out of a Savage 114 1:10 twist, CCI250 Mag, Hdy or Fed brass, same results. And here it is: 63.0 gr H1000 gives me .5 MOA steadily. 2750 is about all I get. Low ES and SD. Even at 66 gr. I'm not getting much more velocity, maybe 60fps up to 2810, bigger groups, higher ES and SD and I really seeing pressure signs. So I back off to 63.0 and call it a happy day. Kind of mild loads but I'm just shooting paper out to 600 yards right now. At 500 yards I'm still under 1 MOA in normal Texas moderate winds and summer heat.

I don't want to think about what would happen if I go to 70 grains, so now I'm trying RE22 and just got a lb. of Enduron 7977.

4, went to the range yesterday with 3 others. Too hot here in the desert so we went to the mountains. 6500' with 77 degrees, just like where most of our hunts are. Two 7mm Rem mags shooting 168 VLD with H1000 were easily sub MOA. Both loads were 68.0 gr powder, 215M and Remington brass. This combo has been very accurate in 8 rifles so far, killing a lot of game.

I've used IMR 7828 both regular and SSC. It gets higher velocities than H1000 in my gun. They shoot about the same all things being equal. The 168's at high speed are plenty of recoil for me. Never moved up to the 180's

I'm. 025 off lands, 71grs retumbo, 168 CH Berger. 3040fps.

My experience with new builds is that a new barrel will shoot inconsistent velocities until it's had a few rounds down the tube. I also like Retumbo and H1000 in my 7. Retumbo seems to get a little more velocity but which ever gives the best accuracy is the way to go. Both are great powders for hunting rounds. Good luck, you'll love the 7mm Mag.

7828 ssc and regular cut is a very underrated and excellent powder. Its not overly sensitive to temps, very linear and predictable during load development. Its great for anything from short magnums to smaller cases with heavy bullets to 300WM and 7 RM.

7828 was actually development specifically for 7mm Remington Magnum in the early 1960's.
Plus its abundant and can be always be found easily most anywhere powders are sold. It is also pretty cheap.

I will always have a good stash of 7828 in my possession.

77 grains of US869 gives me 2950 without even flattening a primer, 80 grains gives me the 3050fps performance you're looking for with primers starting to flatten. The 80 grain load is not in a book, I worked it up but it works for me with F215's and RP brass with bullets seated quite long. Makes 3" groups at 500m. Reduce and work up of course. My barrel has a pretty long throat, set up for 180 Hybrids seated long.

Been shooting 7828 SSC in my 7mmRM's for years behind the Berger 168 VLD's. Works fine for me. I get over 3,100 fps MV with a 26" barrel.
