Looking to buy a new rifle. I will be hunting whitetails, mule deer, bear and occasional Elk plan on shots out to 550 yds or so. Which one fo you guys recommend ? I will be handloading. I do like out of the norm calibers, but don't know if the nosler adds any real advantage

run magpul magazine 7mm rem work with long bc bullets while 28 will not for that magazine. Choose 6+ different brass manufactures for 7mm rem. In a pinch forget your reloads pretty much everyone selling ammo should stock 7mm rem. You can shoot crappy ammo out to 600

PackersFanBoy is right on. I've shot both ( the 28 Nosler is nice) today have 7mm Rem Mag for the reasons stated. Went to NZ few years ago. My 7mm ammo got confiscated in Australia. My guide had ammo ready for me when I landed NZ I would have been out of luck had I had a 28 Nosler (not around @ the time). Side note, the 7mm RM is far less expensive to shoot considering all the ingredients and will perform fine on game animals at distances to most peoples shooting ability. For a one gun guy the 7's the ticket.
