Anyone have first hand experience with youth muzzys? I have a 15yo girl and small statured 9yo boy I want to attempt to find something they can hunt with without the fear of god put in them. They both shoot a 243 really well, but I dont think they could handle much more recoil than that. I have zero experience with youth or sub caliber muzzys so any advice would help. Thanks in advance.

I'd look at the range of muzzle loaders available in the Thompson Center Encore Pro Hunter series. Rossi also makes one in .22-250 as a single shot. I realize that 22-250 is not the best choice for whitetail but if you're looking for the compromise between lower recoil and effectiveness I believe it's a suitable choice. The kids just have to learn to stalk, get close, and shoot accurately for neck shots ... not at all bad lessons to learn IMO.
You might also want to consider a muzzle loader with a muzzle brake so you can get the terminal ballistics you probably prefer on target with the advantages of reduced recoil.

My son is using the Buckstalker by Vortek. It's a lower end one but it shoots very well. It is shorter than most and handy in the woods. Wally world sells them for loke $175.
Shoots as well as my Knight and not as finicky.

I have 2 boys started at age 6 shooting a savage ml2 the smokeless guns usually r heaver. I loaded 25grains of trail boss and a 200grain ftx cron @ around 1800 very low recoil. Does the job on whitetail out 150 yard
