Other Magazines That Work With Tikka CTR

I've sought, like others, cheaper magazines for my CTRs for years. I have recently discovered that, at least in my CTR, my MDT polymer magazines work perfectly. I keep expecting it to fail to feed, fail to lock in place, etc. because I've never heard that they work, even though I've searched a lot online. In light of the fact they are AICS style magazines, I would think someone would have tried these types before. MDT magazines work, at least in my CTR in its factory stock with its factory bottom metal; however, the similar magpul version of these work in my chassis with one CTR; but, not with my CTR in its factory stock. For $40 it might be worth a shot for you to order one to see if they work in yours too. Heck, if they work, you can get 4 or 5 for the amount you'd pay for one from Tikka/Beretta. Good luck all.

They work great in mine too. They were a bit tight the first time I tried them, but loosened up fine after that.

Good question! Unfortunately I don't know anyone with a CTR in 6.5 CM to test it on, but I'd be surprised if it didn't. It might be worth asking other shooters in your area who have MDT mags, if you can try theirs in your rifle

I think it will work. Has anyone tried the 5 round aics mag?
