Thanks for the help. I was thinking factory rifles would be better on duty. Every firearm I use on duty other than a rem 870 is my personal waepon. I have a mossberg 500 to replace it during the next qualificaation. I know if I used any of them I would lose them, maby for good but its worth it...

i got the ok from my chief to take sniper I and II which will put me shooting out to 1000 yards and i was wandering which would be the better rifle for this a rem 700 sps or building a savage.
