    Embarrassed to say it but furthest was around 70 yards, I am in MA and only have hunted here and around New England.

    I think I will, when I was young my dream was to go out west elk hunting but then life happened. Now seeing these pictures and being that it is PA (I am in MA), it stirred me up a bit and would be doable if I was lucky enough to be drawn.

    hunting boots

    As others have noted, I like the Danners I have owned but, although not US made, have also had good luck with Meindls. However, although some Danners are made in the US, Danner (and Lacrosse) is owned by a Japanese company called ABC-Mart, which is a pretty corny name.

    I had a lot of interest in it when it came out but never got around to buying a gun chambered in it. With the availability and prices of 17 WSM ammo nowadays I am glad I didn't make the investment. I'll stick with my 22 Hornet and 223.
