Right. I'm guessing the obvious , I think, the bottom is good for a hole that has a bottom and the taper is easier to start on a hole but wouldn't work on a short hole with no outlet. In my case the whole goes straight through and it's a really short hole with enough room for only about 4...

I have an interarms 270 with some stripped threads on the gun where rear mount attaches. How do I find out what thread this? What's the chances I can tap this with the same thread? Thanks

Need a weaver base 48347 for my axis and cabelas is the only one that has it and it's very pricey. I've tried midway, optics planet, brownells , quality optics which has the worst customer service I've ever experienced, and others ....any ideas..
