I probably should have mentioned it will be run suppressed 99% of the time. and I'm not willing to buy a suppressor larger than my Omega 300 ( at least not right now) .
Likely will run a Proof carbon barrel and a Manners stock and have the R700 action blueprinted.

SO all that said what would you guys do barrel twist and bullet combo for 308 or 7-08?
I loike the idea of NOT fireforming cases and buying off the shelf ammo if I have to. I'm not opposed to buying some more exotic brass, foreforming, etc if I have to get achieve the goal but I'd rather not. I guess I've always leaned towards the 16-18" 308 because its a little more proven...

No upgrades. Less than a box of shells through it. Took it in trade from a friend and I want to build another rifle. This is too nice to just tear apart.
