I have an old Specwar 556 that has probably close to 8K rounds through it. It's been hot enough to brand with many times. Never "cleaned" it. Far as I can tell it's still happy as can be.

I shoot them constantly at 150 yards literally in my back yard. Dedicated thermal rig, 6.8, 10.5” barrel AR through 7.62 Saker can. Factory Fusion 115s or 120sst is drt every time.

What kind of velocity are y’all running the vld hunting? I’m 29 rounds into a new barrel that I’ve done the Berger seat depth test with 40gr of rl16 @ 2989. Ready to start playing with powder/charge weights. Lapua srp.

Adding to what I said earlier. It's dawned on me I have 4 total, 1 SFP,MOA and 3 that are FFP, MOA with the floating dot, (pretty sure) 7c reticle, I like them. I've done the zero set so many times I don't even think about it, just do it, main thing is start with the turret against the stop...

In my onion yes. I owned and sold 1 Gen 1, I currently own 3 Gen 2s. The Gen 2 has better glass and much better turrets, all though I do wish they locked like the Razor.

I don't have a Grendel but I do have 3 6.8 SBRs & 2 30 cal Saker cans. I've never seen a noticeable poi shift swapping the 2 cans on the SBRs or bolt guns for that matter.

So I fired a round that was chilled in the fridge, looks the same as the others, cratered primer and swipe. FPS dropped 24, this was with clean, dry bore/chamber. I bought a Hornady headspace comparator, that case grew .005.
