Alex Wheeler posted pix of a barrel like you describe and let people comment for 2 days then told them that barrel just set a new record, so looks are deceiving. Let the target tell you when it's torched.

N570 burns a barrel about 40% faster than H1000 in a .338 Edge but gives ~150 fps more speed. Nice shooting ! Do those aoudad taste any good ?
