Will buy an AR in next 2 weeks, I am going to check the local gun shops for available AR 15's and the gun range for shooters of the AR 15, will not be dragging this out. I will probably buy a complete AR and later on add some options as I become accustomed to it. Will still be asking questions...

The 223 is a less expensive round than a 308, if you want a 308 look at the M14. If you want the AR15 get one chambered for 5.56 NATO round. Buy an entry level AR15 and fix it up the way you want it. Rock River, Stag, DPMS are good weapons, Bushmaster has issues, Century Arms are misc. parts...

Spot and stalk, I do not see any sport in a feeder, deer blind and sunrise. Spotting and stalking heightens your skills and sharpens your abilities.:rolleyes:

I have become the owner of a Remington 673 in 308, new, only fired at factory, this is the second one I have owned in the last 6 months, the first one was a disaster. It has a 22" barrel, what can I do make it a decent 500 yard gun?

I bought a Russian rifle that shoots cheap ammo. If I like the way it shoots I will be shooting more than 500 rounds a year. The rifle has not arrived yet, should be here within a couple of days.

I shoot about 500 rounds a year, I am far from being the best shot here. The 500 does not count pistol rounds.
