New info on Chronic Wasting Disease

"Although causation remains unproven, this cluster emphasizes the need for further investigation into the potential risks of consuming CWD-infected deer and its implications for public health," they said in the report. CBS News contacted the report's lead author for comment but did not receive...

Whats the worse rifle or gun you ever bought ? I hsve several tied

Never buy a Ruger Mini-14. I did it 2x. Both were minute of barn door, and mag changes are funky. They look cool though.

Rifles bought but haven’t shot yet. What ya got!

A 16" 450 Bushmaster AR. Less than 8# with a Burris 450BM scope. Not sure I am looking forward to it either. Probably will a be lot like sighting in a 12ga Slug gun.

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

We have already covered this, I apologize to all those who were triggered by my common but wrong use of terminology. Again, can an admin change my title from caliber to cartridge. I have also noticed that you had no comment on the actual topic.

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

I am glad to hear what sounds like logic and sanity. I have had to stop myself when heading down the hotrodding road. Mostly with AR15 platform cartridges, 6.8 SPC and 6.5 Gren, if I can't get it done with medium loads, hot loads probably are not either. I either need to move to the AR10...

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

Might be easier in the long run. Apparently there is some nasty stuff in newer batteries. They are as heavy as batteries back in the day, but I understand that it may not be "just" lead, some research is going to be needed.

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

I was thinking 45auto, heavy 44, and heavy 50cal muzzle loader.

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

You are right caliber was the wrong word for the title. Maybe an admin can change that word?

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

I have a bunch of old car batteries, in the qounset. I should get around to breaking them down and getting into casting, some target loads in the GP100 or Super Blackhawk might be fun.

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

I actually laughed at your Wal-Mart at 10:30! When I retired from the AF we lived in Florida, where a T-shirt, shorts, and flipflops are too many clothes. Hence why we carried Ruger LCP's there. Now in Nebraska in the winter you can conceal a 44. Not that I do Tell your dad not to sweat the...

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

Dont get me wrong, I am a hotrodder too. But at some point you have to put the 305 away, an drop in a 350 or 383, better yet a big block.

    Reloading to replicate another caliber?

Over the years I have read many stories about people hurting themselves, a bystander or destroying their firearm in pursuit of the absolute maximum velocity for that caliber and a particular weight bullet. If a published or slightly over, X caliber and X bullet weight at X velocity is not...
