Try RL 17 or RL 23 280 AI is tough to get good speed

127 LRX Shot a bull this year at 400 with the lrx out of my 6.5-300wby. It took 2 steps.

does anyone have any 243 AI loads they care to share with the 105 VLD and RL17, 23 & 26 Thanks

I tried retumbo in mine today. 127 LRX with 81.5gr retumbo and fed 215M was 3445fps shot 1.3"@200. I went higher but the ES's opened up and started getting pressure at 82.5gr

87 gr VLD with 57.5gr H4831 SC. WLR primer 60 thou off.

I currently use 120gr TTSX out of my 7 rem at 3500 fps they work great on deer and elk.

I wondering if anyone has tried RL 17 in the 280 rem with 120gr bullets. I have had great success with RL17 and 110gr TTSX in the 270. I'm just wondering if the same speed gain can be expected from the 280.
