ok so my smith said that the gun was built to the max spec to accept any ammo. the best thing to reduce chamber shock is to neck size and not trim length but it is ok to have a .20 jump but be cautious about jamming as it can increase chamber pressure outside of acceptable limits.

i use the same gun with hornady 165gr sp, i sit back .15 off the lands my most accurate load on imr-4895 is 40.3gr using cci 200 primers
