Trouble ranging Big Game, need help

I a sig range finder as well. I found the the very bottom of the circle was where the laser was actually aimed. That has helped me get more accurate ranges. I took my range finder out and using the auto scan feature I ranged the very top of a power pole to pin point where it was aimed at.

Snap caps for dry fire practice?

I do a lot of dry fire practice with my rifle (20ish shots a night) and have had no issues. Ryan Cleckner (he does the Going Ballistic Podcast) says not to worry about it. With old rifles you might have a issue but modern rifles I don't worry about it.

    Battery life SIG Kilo2000

How long are your batteries lasting in your SIG range finder? Mine seems to be short. I received the rangefinder as a gift for Christmas. Using it during the winter the battery dropped from full to 3/4. I guessed this was due to the cold. Last week I decided to replace the battery before bear...

Help with ring from seater dye

The bullet is .308. The neck outside dia. is 0.334 once the bullet is seated it is 0.336 so about 2 thou of neck tension which I would think was good. Unless I am measuring that wrong. The cases where cleaned in a tumbler before annealing but not after. They all look to be chamfered correctly...

    Hot temps and High elevation??

That was my next thought as well. If the zero wasn't corrected it would cause problems

    Hot temps and High elevation??

At higher elevations the bullet will not loose as much speed over distance due to thiner air. I don't know what it will do at the muzzle but at long range there will be a point of impact shift due to more retained velositly. Maybe there is enough change to explain the misses?
