We use both, as well as the 17 HMR (under 200 yds). They all perform well, but at longer distances and with the common wind element, the 223 is the better choice

Burris is making some exceptional scopes, and the XTR series is one of them. I have an XTR on my Ridgeline (7MM). Chronographed it and had Burris etch me a custom turret for the XTR. It was dead on out to 800 yds. Burris are strong conservation (RMEF) supporters as well.
