I have a remington .300 winchester that won't shoot worth a darn. Thought this might be a good opportunity for a rebarrel. I was either going to go with a remington magnum stock barrel contour or go with a thicker barrel with flutes. I wanted to not increase overall gun weight, as this will...
What shooting positions do you feel are the most useful in the field? I thought if I worked on shooting sticks and prone, it would be a good start. Not sure what is most practical in mountainous terrain? Would a tripod set of sticks or a single monopod stick set up be most useful?
I know little of the terrain or issues facing Montana elk. Hence, I don't know where the go to areas are. Wanted to pick an area where I would have a reasonable chance of success.
I just learning about this wolf issue. WHAT THE HECK! Why would anyone feel the need to introduce this...
Thank you for your info Mr. Martin. It is interesting how I get a feeling on a person's forthrightness just by looking at their website. I appreciate that. We are planning for a hunt in 2011. There will be 4 of us. I will need tag guarantee I would assume. Also, I was really hoping to see...

I remember reading that thread talking about the velocity differences between the 7wsm or rem. mag, but not about the differences in accuracy.
Also, what is the standard going contour now is it a #7 or 8, or heavy varmint max, or the MTU?
What kind of bedding is needed for support with...
Hey all, I am trying to get some ideas in line. I have a 700 long action with magnum bolt face I want to start a build off of. I want to use an A5 McMillan stock but need help with choice of caliber and barrel contour. The rifle will be used to shoot deer to around 600-700 yards...
very helpful. thanks for the work that went into that post. From what I can gather, the M1 knobs are simply hand turret 1/4 MOA adjustments, with the M3 being 1 and 1/2, elevation and windage, respectively? What are the M2 knobs?
