I just finished building a 6.5G2 on a 24" Krieger barrel a few months ago. I've got about 150 rounds through it. I'll be chorographing some rounds in the near future. I've got a thread on the gun with pictures somewhere on this page.

I've had my best luck between 27.0 and 28.0. For me its been so forgiving of a powder that its hard to pick out the best powder charge in that range.

Are you questioning because of the fact its an AR??

I got the barrel from a local gunsmith. His big buisness isn't Grendels, but 6mm Fat Rat which is essentially a Grendel necked to 6mm with the shoulders blown. Lee Wells from Accurate and Reliable Rifles. Great guy to work with. He'll build whatever you want.

I’m still in the planning stages of a 6.5 Grendelbuild. With a 24”, 1-8” twist barrel, Ibelieve I can reasonably expect 2600 fps muzzle velocity (123 gr Amax). That equates to roughly 1500 fps at 800yards. What I’m wondering is what people see for the expansion of target bullets...
