Bought Kilo 2400ABS - What is this?

I gave a call to Sig, and they said the white thing is just an adapter for the new iPhones. To hold the little Lightning to 3.5mm adapter to keep the wind meter straight. They also confirmed the sticker is not an issue either.

Bought Kilo 2400ABS - What is this?

Hi, I purchased a Kilo 2400ABS and just received it. I opened the package and there is this little plastic thing, and I cannot find anything on what it is. The foil seal looked slightly damaged, but it did not appear it was removed (doesn't look like the box had been opened and resealed). What...

New to Reloading, need some help

Oh, and I finally found some actual load data for the bullet I have. I found a Lyman book that was opened at Sportsmans Warehouse where I live and I browsed through it. I found the following: 210 gr. Jacketed Scirocco BC .507 SD .263 Powder | Min Load | Velocity (FPS) | Pressure (PSI) | Max...

New to Reloading, need some help

Alright, so I plotted the Vihtavuori load data (from their site) for N160 for the following bullet weights: 200, 225, and 231gr These plotted points appear to be 'linear' in how they plot. I think created a trend line for these loads, which gave the following equations: Min...

New Rifle, Need some Advice on a Scope

Alright so I think I have pinpointed my scopes down to two. The Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 SFP (~$2300 street) or the yet to be released Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 FFP (~$2500 street). But, I need a suggestion on an absolutely CHEAP scope I can put on my .338 Lapua, so that I can at...

New to Reloading, need some help

Would one of those L.E. Wilson gauges be a good investment? Also, I just got some Vihtavuori N160 and some Swift Scirocco II 210gr bullets. I wanted to start working up loads for this and I cannot find anything relating to the 210gr bullets. I have contacted Swift and have yet to hear back...

    Vortex Razor HD - 2014

Aren't you only getting 200 yards (1700 - 1900) because you are shooting a lighter bullet with a smaller load? Wouldn't a heavier bullet with a bigger load get more range out of ~18 MOA?

New to Reloading, need some help

Alright...so I feel really stupid. I was measuring a ruler, with my calipers (as a personal friend suggested) to ensure the calipers were reading correctly. As he said that having brand new brass being .4" off from the SAAMI standard was actually quite odd. So I was measuring the ruler and...

New to Reloading, need some help

Awesome, I will definitely take my time and take all your suggestions into account. I just noticed in my first post, I wrote the incorrect case length (2.305" not 2.605"). I even measured my factory loaded .338 Lapua ammunition and the spent cases are also ~ this same size (~2.3"). Any idea...

New to Reloading, need some help

Alright, that's so good to know and quite a relief. Should I still run the brass through the re-sizing die, to make sure the neck is the right size and all that?

New to Reloading, need some help

Hi all, So I have recently finished purchasing all the items I need for reloading, except for powder, as everyone is out. The rifle is a Weatherby Mark V Accumark, chambered in .338 Lapua. Now I have not started reloading at all yet. I just finished mounting my press and powder measure...

New Rifle, Need some Advice on a Scope

Thanks for all of your input. I have been checking out various scopes, and this one 'piqued' my interest: Vortex Razor HD Gen II 4.5-27x56 MOA (RZR-42705). I watched some videos on it, and it appears to be a fairly solid looking scope. I do like the new features it has, which I think are all...

New Rifle, Need some Advice on a Scope

I had a Viper PST 6-24, which I sold. It was a good scope but it did not feel like it was 'high quality'. I got it for the Lifetime you can use it to beat a tent state in and they will replace it warranty. I think that their warranty is probably one of the best you can find. Even night force...

New Rifle, Need some Advice on a Scope

I don't know why it did not dawn on me before, but my younger brother is Active Army. So I am able to use him to get a military discount on optics, along with other accessories. This opens up my choices on what scope I can afford. With that in mind, scopes such as a NF, MkIV, and Razor HD...

New Rifle, Need some Advice on a Scope

That is good to know! I guess I need to figure out the type of shooting I want to do. Whether I want to set it and forget it or actively adjust for various ranges.
